Use Your Letter from US Airlines Free Tickets for a Vacation
A week later, we were visiting some friends and I overheard my son telling the other little boy about going on an airplane for a vacation. My friend overheard the conversation too and asked me about it. I laughed and told her about the junk mail letter from US Airlines free tickets. She got excited and told me she had gotten one as well, and they were using their free tickets from US Airlines to visit her mother in California next month. To say the least I was amazed that it might actually be real and started asking her questions about it.
I found out the letter had a number on it to call and a confirmation code. All a person had to do was simply attend the presentation and receive a voucher good for one year for two round-trip airline tickets. I had really wished I had saved that letter. I was kicking myself for believing that it was junk mail and throwing it away. I always teach my children not to judge a book by its cover, and here I was being punished for my mistake of judging this letter from US Airlines free tickets.
On the way home, I told my son that I had not saved the letter so there would be no airplane trip. He laughed and told me he had the letter in his room. As soon as we got home, he gave me the letter and I called the number, made the reservation, and we started planning where we would go. This would be my sons’ first airplane ride, and also his first real vacation. He was so excited. I just hoped that my friend was right, and that it was real.

I have to admit, I was not looking forward to some 90-minute sales spiel. I was very happy when the presentation started and it was about ways to save money on travel. This is something that I might be interested in. I love saving money, who doesn’t though right?
At the 90 minute presentation they talked about getting discount rates at hotels and attractions. They also gave us some tips for traveling with children, and the best ways to pack your suitcase to fit in the most. Instead of being bored or made to feel I had to buy something, I learned a lot had a great time.
True to their word, at the end of the presentation everyone received a thank you package Included in the packages was two free roundtrip airline tickets. I excitedly went home as fast as I could to show our free tickets to my son. I’ve never seen him so happy! He’s never seen the ocean, so we decided to use our free tickets to go to Maui.
